School’s out for summer and that means kids have more time to play in the dirt.  Get them involved in some planting this summer with gardening resources for children found in our catalog (some of which are higlighted below).

Mother Earth News’ “What To Plant Now” feature is a great online resource to help you plan your garden.  They list the following as the top ten crops to plant in the Gulf Coast region in June:

 1. Sweet pepper          6. Lettuce
2. Cherry tomato          7. Spinach
3. Bulb onion                8. Potato
4. Slicing tomato          9. Cucumber
5. Garlic                         10. Summer squash
