Pirates and Princesses Party
Ahoy there, mateys!
As the Tampa Bay area gears up for Gasparilla festivities, your kids can join in the fun at the John F. Germany Library’s annual Pirates and Princesses Party taking place this Saturday, January 14 from 2-3 p.m.
With guest storyteller, Katie Adams leading the way, children can listen to pirate tales and get crafty decorating a crown or pirate hat.

Octoga Party!
Toga! Toga! Toga! The John F. Germany library hosted a Percy Jackson-themed ‘Octoga Party’ on Saturday in honor of author Rick Riordan’s latest book, the Son of Neptune.
Participants learned about the different traits of Greek gods and used the Greek alphabet to make necklaces and decorate shields. They competed in a Percy Jackson and Greek mythology trivia game and had fun dressing up in togas!

The Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation held a reception for the winners of it’s 24th Annual Kids’N Pets Photo Contest Wednesday evening at the John F. Germany Library.

Mad Hatter Tea Party
Families celebrated their UN-birthdays in style at the John F. Germany Mad Hatter Tea Party on Saturday. Participants decorated colorful hats, played games, heard stories and feasted on some delicious cookies and punch!
The Mad Hatter Tea Party is just one of the library’s Super Saturday programs, which are offered every Saturday at 2:00p.m. Next Saturday, October 8, you can join your friends in the children’s room on the 1W floor to build Lego creations at the Lego My Library event!

Baby Time
Babies and caregivers enjoyed an interactive, wild animal-themed Baby Time program at the John F. Germany library last Thursday.
Featuring hands-on activities, songs, books, rhymes, bubbles and more, this program is geared toward children from birth to 18 months and their caregivers.
