Ecokids Program at Brandon Regional Library
There’s a new program in town!
On September 14, Brandon Regional Library debuted Ecokids, a program geared toward children in grades 1-5 with a focus on learning about the natural world.
September participants listened to Steven Kellogg’s Johnny Appleseed, as well as a nonfiction book about making applesauce. After discussing the food chain, sustainable farming, and factors that affect the world’s food supply, they created a craft to take home depicting the four seasons of an apple tree.
This program will continue to be held the second Wednesday of each month at 3:00PM.
Next month’s Ecokids is right around the corner on Wednesday, October 12! Join fellow nature lovers to learn more about next month’s theme of habitats through books, articles and a fun craft activity!
